Honduras draws 0-0 with Azerbaijan in World Cup warmup game in rainy conditions

Honduras still appear to have plenty of work left to do in the final days before the World Cup as they were held to a goalless draw by 10-man Azerbaijan in Austria.


Wayward shooting meant Honduras never really tested Azerbaijan goalkeeper Salahat Agayev, even after the 73rd-minute dismissal of Sasa Yunisoglu for a rash tackle.

Ramon Nunez was the only Honduras player who managed to force a save in the entire match, but his left-footed shot from the edge of the area was easy enough for the goalkeeper.

Honduras will face Chile, Spain and Switzerland in Group H.
