Cameroon coach Paul Le Guen resigns!
Immediately after the defeat to Holland, Le Guen said: "My contract is coming up, and it was clear all along I would stop now. Maybe I didn't succeed in unifying the team and bringing the team together.
"I will not point fingers or accuse anyone. I thought I would have got better results with this match," he added.
With star players like Inter Milan's Samuel Eto'o, many believed Cameroon would be one of the stronger African sides at the tournament. However, they were defeated in each of their group matches, losing 1-0 to Japan, 2-1 to Denmark and 2-1 to Holland.
Ghana are likely to be the only African side in the last 16 of the tournament, following a disappointing World Cup for the continent's sides.
Le Guen was appointed as coach of Cameroon in July 2009 having previously managed Rangers and Paris Saint Germain.
