Six Barcelona Players Could Be Fined For Arriving A Minute Late To Training

Six first-team Barcelona players including Lionel Messi and Xavi could be fined €500 for turning up one minute late to training today.
Marca reports that the players all turned up late to the session as coach Pep Guardiola was standing looking at his watch.
The former midfielder is known to be strict with his rules and even at this stage of the season is not ready to let his standards drop.
The morning started with a routine drug test from UEFA, who sent in two representatives to take urine samples from ten players; Dani Alves, Andres Iniesta, Carles Puyol, Samuel Eto'o, Thierry Henry, Sylvinho, Sergio Busquets, Seydou Keita, Pinto and Gabriel Milito.
After leaving the testing, six players of the first-team turned up late, those were Alves, Messi, Xavi, Eto'o, Yaya Toure and Eidur Gudjohnsen.
With Guardiola watching on, they were a minute late to the session and reportedly could be fined for their actions.
Whether or not they will be remains to be seen and, at such a vital stage of the season, with the Champions League final still to play, a fine does seem unlikely.
Nevertheless, Guardiola has been strict with his rules and standards this season and might well take action.
