Recreativo Huelva's Lamas Banned For Calling Referee A 'Coward'

The defender was slapped with a one game suspension for insulting a referee last weekend..
Recreativo Huelva defender, Andres Lamas, has been given a one match ban for calling the referee a "coward" after he was sent off at the weekend.
The Uruguayan will now miss the rest of the season as he is also suspended for one game after receiving a red card.
Lamas was dismissed in the dying stages of Recre's game against Numancia and gave away the penalty which lost his side the match, even though he appeared to touch the ball.
The Competition Committee have decided to ban him not just for the red card that he earned from the tackle for the penalty, but also for his insult directed at the referee.
Perez Lasa wrote in his minutes that Lamas approached him after the match and repeatedly shouted "you are a cowardly referee, you are a coward".
Along with Lamas, Recreativo will also be without Aitor for their next match, after he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season.
Whilst there was bad news for Recre, there was good news for Sporting Gijon as Sergio Matabuena's yellow card was rescinded, meaning he will be free to play next weekend.
Recreativo currently sit bottom of La Primera and should they do anything but win against Racing Santander next weekend, they will be relegated.
