Real Madrid And Barcelona Among Contenders To Sign Japanese Youngster

Reports from the Far East suggest that rising Japanese star Shinji Kagawa is considering offers from several big Spanish club. Regarded as the top emerging talent in Japan, Cerezo Osaka midfielder Shinji Kagawa is tipped to be moving on to bigger and better things



Barcelona and Real Madrid and rumoured to be at the top of the list of teams vying for the youngster's signature, with the 20-year-old considering offers from various other La Liga outfits.

A European move is said to be likely for the Japan international, but will still need approval from his current club side.

"The Spanish league is my favourite. The attacking mentality suits my style," Kagawa said on Nikkan Sports.

"My dream is to play in the Champions League one day, so this is a great opportunity."

Cerezo president Nobuyoshi Fujita has confessed that he would like to see the player achieve further success in football, and offers him the backing of the club.

"We will definitely consider any offers that we believe will benefit him," he said.

"It is a dream of his to play overseas. He has our full support."

Espanyol and Atletico Madrid are also said to be amongst the teams monitoring the young player's progress.
