Lyon down Nantes


Lyon tightened their grip on the last Champions League qualifying spot in Ligue 1 with a 3-0 home victory against Nantes on Tuesday.



Two first half goals by midfielder Jean Makoun put them in front before substitute Anthony Mounier sealed the game in the 77th minute.

The seven-times champions are third on 64 points with three games left, four points ahead of Paris St Germain who have a game in hand. PSG visit Le Mans on Wednesday.

Leaders Marseille and Bordeaux, second on goal difference, are level on 68 points before they play at Nice and Valenciennes respectively on Wednesday.

Nantes, 19th with 33 points, stay in the relegation zone on goal difference
