Le Mans boss hands over to assistant

Le Mans coach Daniel Jeandupeux has put his assistant Arnaud Cormier in charge for the last four games of the Ligue 1 season.

Former Switzerland coach Jeandupeux took charge in February while keeping his job as special adviser to Le Mans chairman Henri Legarda.

"As we try to stay in the top flight, there is also an urgent need to prepare for the next season and that is why we have decided to set up a new sporting organisation for the next three weeks," Jeandupeux told the club website.

Le Mans are 15th on 38 points, five above the drop zone, before they host Paris St Germain on Wednesday.

Cormier (pictured) is a former goalkeeping coach and had been working under Jeandupeux alongside Yves Bertucci.
