Criticism Makes Us Stronger

Zambrotta says the media firestorm surrounding his side can only stoke the fire for success even further... Italy defender has told the detractors to keep feeding World Cup motivation by criticising the team.




He believes doubts sparked within Italian media in South Africa will only serve to help spur them on their way towards success.

"The criticism is not new to us. It has always been like this and we are used to it," he told the press.

While bad headlines are unpleasant in Casa Azzurri, Zambrotta says the players are experts in transferring negative voices into resonant performances.

"We always come out greater during these occasions, it's in our DNA. The criticism makes us stronger and unites us even further.

"Our objective is to get to the end. We are still the world champions. And we want to keep it that way."
