Ivory Coast Want Guus Hiddink As New Coach

Dutch manager Guus Hiddink is one step closer to being appointed as new Ivory Coast coach after the president of the Ivorian FA, Jacques Anouma, confirmed that Hiddink is their primary target.
Ivory Coast are in the market for a new coach following the departure of Vahid Halilhodzic last week. The Bosnian gaffer got the sack following the nation's disappointing performances at the African Nations Cup.
"Guus is one of the people we have contacted about becoming coach. Probably in the middle of next week something will be concluded.," Anouma was quoted as saying by BBC.
"There were a lot of coaches at Loftus Road for the match against South Korea and some have contacted me. Of the three or four in contention to become the next coach, Guus is the person we want but we are still talking to him. Talks are ongoing but nothing has been decided."
Hiddink would have to negotiate an early release with the Russian FA if he is to be available to pick up the Ivory Coast job.
