Wolfsburg Move For Fiorentina’s Mutu Is Impossible – Andrea Barzagli

The Italian defender believes that there is no chance of the Viola hitman joining his Bundesliga club.
Fiorentina’s Adrian Mutu has been linked with a move to Wolfsburg at times this season; however, according to Andrea Barzagli, this move will not go through.
The former Palermo man has stated that he does not believe the rumours surrounding the Romanian’s future. He also reflected on his first season in Germany, which resulted in a maiden Bundesliga title for Felix Magath's side.
“It’s a great satisfaction to win the title, and I can say that we certainly didn’t expect this at the start of the season,” Barzagli affirmed in an interview with the '30 Minutes' broadcast on Tuscany TV.
“We are a very offensive team, something that you don’t often see in Italy. We score a lot of goals, and I am definitely enjoying my life in Germany.
“The project of Wolfsburg is to further strengthen the team, and achieve even better results in the future.
“Although Mutu is a great player, I think that it is impossible for him to join this club, as I don’t feel that there is any truth in the rumours.”
The World Cup-winning defender concluded the interview by expressing his desire to return to Marcello Lippi’s Italian squad.
He added, “As for the national team, I am aware that it is difficult, because there are many good defenders in Italy. If Lippi were to call me though, I would be overjoyed.”
