Van Basten Is Taking A Break From Football - Ajax Manager

Ajax manager David Endt says Marco van Basten wants to take a break from football...
Former AC Milan legend Marco van Basten took part in a golf tournament in Italy last weekend, which predictably fueled rumours that he met the Rossoneri's management after recently quitting as the coach of Ajax.
However, Ajax team manager David Endt believes the former striker will take a break from football for a while.
"I think that he wants to quit football for a while," he said to Radio Kiss Kiss. "But you never know what might happen in life and in our world. He would like to stop for a few months or a year, but if under pressure he could change his mind. I don't think that will happen but I have been in the football world too long not to know that everything could change."
According to Endt, Van Basten's visit to Italy had nothing to do with a possible future on the Rossoneri's bench.
"Van Basten is in Milan only to play golf and meet some old friends," he continued. "It has nothing to do with football. I don't know what he talked about with his friends, certainly he likes to relax. I don't know if Marco would like to become the next Milan coach, what I can say is that he thinks very highly of the Rossoneri."
During his six years at Milan, Van Basten won two European Cups, three Scudetti, and three Ballon d'Ors.
