Nevio Orlandi Wants To Keep Reggina’s ‘Small Flame Of Hope’ Alive

The Amaranti must win their last two league games in order to keep their hopes of survival alive, even though not even six points might be enough to keep them up…

Reggina coach Nevio Orlandi knows that winning at the Olimpico stadium of Rome against Lazio tomorrow might not be enough for his team.

However, until it’s not mathematically certain that the Amaranti will have to play in Serie B next season, Orlandi wants the team to keep on fighting and obtain the full points at stake.

"There is still a small flame of hope and we must maintain it alive," explained the Reggio Calabria side's coach to Eurosport.

"In football anything can happen, we must therefore look forward and hope for results which are favourable to us in the Torino-Genoa and Chievo-Bologna games.

"Naturally, we must win tomorrow against Lazio and then against Siena to reach 36 points in the standings, where we can then hope."

In fact Reggina are currently in 19th place with 30 points from 36 games played, four points behind Torino and the survival zone with only two games remaining before the end of the season.
