Four Match Ban For Borussia Dortmund’s Kevin-Prince Boateng
The midfielder has been handed a four match suspension…
Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund have received some bad news from the DFB (German FA) in the aftermath of their 3-0 league defeat against table toppers Wolfsburg earlier this week.
Talented midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng received his marching orders after 75 minutes of play following a reckless action in midfield. The 22-year-old kicked Wolfsburg midfielder Makoto Hasebe in the face in an attempt to clear the ball.
The DFB have made it clear that Boateng’s action was simply unacceptable and have handed the youngster a four match ban as punishment.
Boateng is on loan from English outfit Tottenham Hotspur and has made ten league appearances for BVB so far this season. It’s very unlikely that Dortmund will make Boateng’s stay a permanent one due to his hefty €5 million price tag.
Dortmund face Arminia Bielefeld and Borussia Moenchengladbach in the last two matches of this campaign.
