Fabio Quagliarella: I Am Ready To Play For Inter Or Juventus

The Udinese ace is at the centre of a tug-of-war between the Serie A giants and believes he is ready for the challenge.

Udinese and Italy striker Fabio Quagliarella believes he is ready to meet the challenge of playing for one of Italy's elite sides.

According to rumours in the peninsula, Juventus are hot favourites to land the goal-getter this summer, but Inter president Massimo Moratti has openly admitted his interest in the 26-year-old after the Nerazzurri clinched the Serie A title last weekend.
“It was exciting to hear Moratti mentioning my name,” Quagliarella admitted to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Being associated with Inter, the Italian kings, is a daydream. They are a solid team and have a great coach. I think I’m ready to take the leap.

“It was hard for me to play in Serie C1 with Chieti or sit on the bench in Serie C2 with Fiorentina and whoever has gone through that will not get scared at the prospect of playing in the Champions League.”

Juventus have hired fellow Neapolitan Ciro Ferrara as their new boss this week and ‘Quaglia’ can’t deny he would love to return to Turin, the city in which he started his career.

“Ferrara is a great man and a wonderful coach,” he enthused. “He always helped me out in the national side, where we used to speak our local slang.

“Juve will be ready to win the Scudetto and the Champions League next season. Will I be there? I joined Torino when I was 13 and I was among 50 boys who were chasing a dream. That drive is still with me today…”
